Ashley Woolard statement in response to ButterfieldWoolard responds to Butterfield refusal to return Rangel money Washington, NC-August 20, 2010-GK Butterfield still refuses to return the Charlie Rangel tainted contribution while sitting in judgement of him. Yesterday in Elizabeth City he was asked about returning the Rangel bribe money and says he will not return it. This begs the question who does GK Butterfield really work for? The answer is not the citizens of the First Congressional District. He states that while he is in Washington holding the Rangel trial -- Ashley Woolard will be here "taking shots at me." Mr. Congressman, is not called taking shots, it is called being held accountable to the citizens you represent. I realize that this is the first time this has happened to him. Voting with Nancy Pelosi 96% of the time and watching Rangel's back is no longer able to be hidden here in eastern North Carolina. While Congressman Butterfield continues to work for special interests and liberal causes in Washington, I will be fighting for the citizens right here. I will continue to hold GK Butterfield accountable for each vote he has made to the destruction of our country, region, and families. In addition until he decides he works for the citizens of District 1, not the Pelosis and Rangels of the world, he will be held accountable for the Rangel bribe and I will continue to ask for him to recuse from this trial. Join me calling on Congressman Butterfield to do the right thing and return the Rangel money and recuse hisself from this trial by calling his office at 202-225-3101. Together we can fight for right and wrong. Together we will fight for freedom and liberty. |
